Established by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Los Angeles, the Dutch School, originally known as Dutch School Los Angeles (DSLA) started its journey in 2000 with one campus in North Hollywood. In 2001, when the campuses in Orange County and San Diego were added, the name was changed to Dutch School of Southern California (DSSoCal). We proudly expanded to offer extensive online classes worldwide in 2018, evolving into The Dutch School as it is today. The Dutch School is accredited by the Dutch Ministry of Education and affiliated with Stichting Nederlands Onderwijs Buitenland (NOB), which is the foundation for Dutch language education abroad.

The Dutch School is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and operates 3 campus locations across Southern California: Los Angeles (North Hollywood), Orange County (Santa Ana), and San Diego (La Jolla).

The Dutch School is breaking borders by offering our online education beyond campuses, reaching students across the United States, Europe, Africa, South America and even the Netherlands. Our virtual platform ensures worldwide access to Dutch language and culture education.

Our mission is to provide quality Dutch language and cultural education for all ages and levels, both on campus and online. Fostering a positive learning environment, we strive to contribute to Dutch, bilingual, and bi-cultural identity, emphasizing equality among all cultures.
